Goa Airport Transport
Goa Dabolim Airport (GOI) offers various transportation options for travelers. Here’s an updated and expanded guide to help you navigate your way from the airport:
Bus
We recommend to take bus if you are familiar with the area and you do not carry luggage with you.
Local Bus
There are local buses available from Dabolim Airport.
They provide route service to Chicalim and Vasco da Gama but there aren’t regular frequencies.
Location
Buses at Goa Airport can be found immediately outside the airport premises.
Fares
A single ticket fare of any of the described services is around INR 250.00 – 650.00.
It is recommended to book tickets in advance.

Taxi
Get to downtown Panaji within 40 minutes by taxi from Goa Airport.
Prepaid Taxi
Pre-booking a taxi or using the prepaid taxi service is highly recommended to avoid scams and ensure a fixed price.
The advisable option and recommended practice is to take a pre-paid taxi, the Yellow Black Prepaid Taxi.
Passengers will find an information booth carried out by Goa Tourism Development Cooperation.
There are more taxi options outside arrivals not recommended by any organism as lots of them play scams.
Goa has its own taxi app called GoaMiles, which often offers competitive rates.

See below the fares for prepaid taxis at Goa Airport:
- Downtown Panaji: INR 870.00 (non-AC cabs) / INR 921.00 (ac cabs) (40 minutes)
- Calangute: INR 1,149 (non-AC cabs) / INR 1,128 (ac cabs) (1h 13 minutes)
- Candolim: INR 1,200 (non-AC cabs) / INR 1,271 (ac cabs) (60 minutes)
Please, bear in mind that night fares are applied daily between 11:00 pm and 05:00 am.

Shuttle Bus
Goa Tourism, the main tourism institution in Goa region, along with Kadamba Transport Corporation, has set a new shuttle service from Goa Airport.
The shuttle bus covers the route Calangute – Panaji – Goa Airport.
It is a daily service which departs from Calangute football ground every morning at 11:00 am and returns at 02:10 pm by Panaji city.
It is expected that trips will be increased upon demand but currently there are only two trips set daily.

There are 4 departures from the Airport: 7:30, 8:00, 13:30 and 16:00.

Railway
Dabolim Goa Airport doesn’t have an own railway station.
If you want to board a train to get straight to both Vasco da Gama and Margao Railway Stations, it is needed to transfer to the closest railway station.
Which is the closest railway station?
The closest railway station is Dabolim Railway Station, located at just 1 km from Goa Airport.
How do I get there?
You can get to Daboli Railway Station by either taxi or foot, which will take you no more than 20 minutes.
Other railway stations
Konkan high-speed Railway Station connects to Margao in South Goa, Tivim in North Goa, Carambolim and Ponda. It also links to Mumbai daily and takes about 8-9 hours.
Other trains between Mumbai and Panaji take typically around 10-12 hours. There are also trains which travel past Mumbai to other northern areas.
The Konkan Railway connects Goa to Mumbai, with journey times of 8-12 hours depending on the train.
Car Rental
Several car rental agencies operate at the airport. Prices vary but expect to pay around ₹1,500-2,500 per day for a small car.
Ensure you have an International Driving Permit if you plan to drive yourself.
