Add some pics of the airport.
Possibly the big blue sign saying Welcome to goa, the one you see on landing and take off from the terminal...

To The attention of the complaints department and Senior Managers:
With reference to the above booking, I wish to raise a complaint against Southall Travel and it's agents.
On 25th December 2007 I flew out from London Heathrow on Virgin airline to Mumbai and then onto Goa on Indian airline which I booked early in the year through Southall Travel.
On 4th January 2008 I requested the hotel to give me a contact for Indian Airline offices in Goa so I could confirm my tickets. The number I called was 0832-2428787 Upon making contact the staff confirmed that myself, my wife and my two children were booked on the IC0598 scheduled to depart Goa Dabolin Airport at 0830hrs on 7th January 2008.
On 7th January I arrived at the airport with my family at 0650 hours to find that the flight had actually departed at 0610 hours, 2 hours and 20 minutes before the scheduled time on my tickets with only 25 passengers on board.
The manager for the Indian Airline was not help full at all and blamed us and stated that we were not confirmed on the flight. I bought to his attention that I did contact the Indian Airline offices on the 4th of January to confirm my flight, however he dismissed this and said I was lying. However despite this he requested Jet Airways manager to take us on board his flight. I must mention by this time there was another family of five and an English couple who were in the similar situation who arrived after us. Jet Airways manager stated at the time that he had to check in all his passengers first and then see what seats were available. After this was done he notified the Indian Airline manager that there were only 8 seats available and can he priorities the passengers he wanted on the plane. The Indian Airline manager knowing that myself my wife and two children aged 3 and 4 years old arrived before the other passengers selected the other passengers despite we had young children.
I was given no consideration and was left there to make my own arrangement. No sympathy, or help was given to me. When I did point out that the decision was not fair, I was told that was not their problem and told me to let them know if they wanted me to book my family on the next flight to Mumbai which would have meant I would have missed my Virgin flight to the UK VS351 that left Mumbai at 1410 hours.
I was shown a transcript by the Indian Airline staff that attempts were made to contact me with changes to my flight, however there were no contact details provided. From having looked at their transcript their was no contact details provided of Southall Travel neither.
I contacted Virgin Atlantic and explained them the situation, I was told the next available dates on a flight back to UK was either the 17th or 19th of January 2008 as all other flights were fully booked.
I was left no other option as no one was being helpful, and therefore had to book myself and my family on Kingfisher flight 612 to Delhi which left Goa at 1730 hours. The 11 hour wait at the airport was very distressing and was again offered no compensation or help from Indian Airline staff. The Kingfisher flight cost me £390. I had to contacted my Brother in the UK who then booked me and my family through Southall Travel on Emirates flight EK511 to depart Delhi on 8th January at 1120 hours via dubai to London. The cost of these tickets was around £1400. I had to stay one night in Delhi which again cost me around £30 which. Overall cost for this was around £1800.
I want to know:
1- Why Indian Airline did not have a contact detail for Southall Travel (this is quite clear on their transcript) so contact could have been made with flight timings changes.
2- Why did Indian Airline state that the timing for flight IC0598 changed three months ago, when I have a mytripandmore.com iternary printed on 26th November 2007 stating that flight IC0598 leaves Goa to Mumbai at 0830 Hours.
3- Who will pay for my costs as my insurance company will not pay the full amount as it was not the Airline departing direct to UK that effected my return.
This is a very serious complaint which need to be addressed to the highest level as there were children involved in this situation.
Kind Regards
Jagdeep
